On-chip Sort, the microfluidic chip cell sorter. Damage-, contamination-, and maintenance-free. Safe and high precision cell sorter with the world’s first microfluidic chip technology
Excellent operability and User-friendly maintenance, a cell sorter with brand-new technology. Unlike a conventional cell sorter, all fluids remain on a sterile and disposable microfluidic chip. The microfluidic cell sorter not only resolved the inherent issues of the conventional sorters, but also enabled analysis/sorting of cells suspended in culture medium.
The microfluidic chip-based flow cytometer has the following advantages:
“Damage-free” cell sorting
Cells are sorted by On-chip’s unique “flow shift” method in microchannels, avoiding shear stresses, pressure changes, collisions, and strong electrostatic field which might damage or alter the cells.
Simple, sterile cell sorting with no cross-contamination
Because our sterilized microfluidic chips are disposable, cross-contamination between samples does not occur. It is compact enough that it can fit inside a biosafety cabinet, with no generation of aerosols. This is an ideal solution for safe handling of biohazardous materials, where safety is paramount.
Sort cells in culture media
Run the sort with your preferred buffer: culture media, sea water and even oil.
Sample volume as low as 20 μL
Small sample volumes (~20 μL) can be analyzed without almost no dead volume. On-chip Sort is the most suitable instrument for the analysis and sorting of precious samples.
Maintenance-free and easy to use
Maintenance of On-chip Sort is easy. Fluids does not get in contact with the instrument, so no cleanup is required. On-chip Sort is easy to operate and does not require hours of training.
Cell Sorter using microfluidic chip technology
Unlike a conventional cell sorter, all fluids are handled on a sterile and disposable microfluidic chip. Our unique sorting technique enables sorting in damage-free, contamination-free, and maintenance-free manner.

Applications
On-chip Sort: The world’s first Cell Sorter using disposable microfluidic chips for damage-free sorting.
On-chip Biotechnologies has developed cell sorters based on microfluidic chip technology to gently sort even the most delicate cells damage-free. Because all fluids stay contained in the sterile disposable chips, there is no chance of cross contamination and no instrument cleanup.
A conventional cell sorter gives damage to sorted cells due to electric charge and collision. Moreover, It is impossible to perform selection of sheath liquid and sorting of the cell by various culture medium in conventional sorting. In addition, since a flow system is nonexchangeable, cross contamination of a sample arises in conventional sorting. On-chip developed a cell sorting system which adopted microfluidic technology on disposable chips, enabling it to separate precious samples without any damage-free.
We introduce a few applications which show advantages of the equipment.
