PHCI recognizes its corporate responsibility to protect and contribute to the improvement of Earth's environment, and is committed to the promotion of environmental protection in compliance with the Environmental Policy of PHC Holdings Corporation
"Let us commit ourselves to promoting environmental conservation through pollution prevention, regulatory compliance, and the continuous improvement of our environmental and business practices!"

One significant aspect of PHCI’s environmental footprint is water usage. The amount of water consumed at our facility is significant: around 2,000 m3/month. Water reduction efforts include optimizing water usage, leak prevention, and water reuse (e.g. using already-used water to water garden).
One water optimization initiative was to change our toilet flushing system from conventional (using bucket) to mechanical flushing. This way, we achieved a water savings of around 35%.

Reporting environmental performance data
External communication consists of reporting our environmental performance data to the relevant regulatory agencies. This is done twice a year as a part of our regulatory compliance activities.
The report consists of data pertaining to air emissions, wastewater emissions, noise levels, industrial waste emissions, and our management systems pertaining to the aforementioned.
Philosophy behind the training program
Our emergency preparedness and response plan is updated annually. It includes improvements to our facility and increasing employee awareness of emergency response procedures by performing periodic training and emergency simulations. Evacuation drills are also conducted for employees working night shifts.
