Responding to the need for collaborative efforts between healthcare and long-term care services to prevent patient conditions from deteriorating.

Tokyo, March 13, 2018 – Panasonic Healthcare Co., Ltd. (hereafter Panasonic Healthcare) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Panasonic Healthcare Holdings Co., Ltd. (headquarters Tokyo, Japan) announces today the signing of a basic agreement with Fuyo Kaihatsu Co., Ltd. (hereafter Fuyo Kaihatsu, headquarters Fukuoka, Japan). The agreement allows Panasonic Healthcare to distribute “Anshin Net Kaigo” remote health management systems developed by Fuyo Kaihatsu. The “Anshin Net Kaigo” systems are ICT systems for remote health management of patients at long-term care facilities that allow long-term care service providers to manage and analyze patient health data and share the data with healthcare providers. The systems are expected to prevent deterioration of patient conditions.

The agreement enhances the value-added product lineup and services that Panasonic Healthcare offers through its three core businesses — medical devices, healthcare IT and life sciences.

Mr. Takayuki Otsuka, head of the Medical Information Systems (Medicom*) Division of Panasonic Healthcare said, “Initiatives for Japan’s super-aged society projected to emerge in 2025 are the focus. We understand the increasing need for collaborative efforts between healthcare and long-term care services to prevent patient conditions from deteriorating. It was back in 1972 that Panasonic Healthcare launched Japan’s first medical-receipt computer. We leverage our accumulated experience and knowhow to underscore our commitment to provide leading-edge healthcare IT solutions. The basic agreement represents an exciting opportunity to contribute to improving healthcare quality by linking Panasonic Healthcare electronic patient record systems with Anshin Net Kaigo systems.”
