TOKYO, January 27, 2020 - PHC Corporation (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) launches DrugstarLead Cloud Medication Information System*1 for pharmacies in Japan on February 10. This is the second product in the Medicom Cloud Series.

Faced with a rapidly aging population and healthcare diversifying, the roles of pharmacies and pharmacists are gaining importance. Pharmacists in particular are expected to provide optimal communication for every patient’s situation, promoting medication adherence through home visits to deliver appropriate medication instructions for patients needing homecare.

The DrugstarLead Cloud Medication Information System is a medication information system featuring a hybrid installation system that provides on-site and cloud-based operation. While interacting with the patient, the pharmacist can execute procedures from medication adherence instructions to medication history review and updating, then sign off procedure completion on tablets and other mobile devices. This is made possible by linking the DrugstarLead Cloud Medication Information System to on-site medication history systems such as PharnesV-MX*2 or DrugstarPrime2*3.

Since the in-house server is realtime synced with the cloud-based server, up-to-date medication information data is continually being saved with backups in both locations. Pharmacists are therefore able to refer and input medication information at all times. The system aims to streamline pharmacists’ workflow and enhance patient medical services including home care.
