UC San Francisco & PHCbi Brand Freezers: Focusing on Sustainability

PHC Corporation of North America is offering UC San Francisco (UCSF) exclusive savings on select PHCbi brand ENERGY STAR® Certified ultra-low temperature freezers to help achieve its sustainability goals.

 
 

UCSF is leading the charge in sustainability and energy efficiency. Our mission is to accelerate the replacement of outdated -80°C freezers with ENERGY STAR units. UCSF operates a fleet of 1,258 ultra-low temperature (ULT) freezers. Of the total, 818 are non-ENERGY STAR models.

A complete conversion will save $1.1 million, reduce our electrical use by 3.6%, and our carbon footprint by 1%. Backed by our long-standing ENERGY STAR policy, we are advancing our mission with an enhanced rebate that can be coupled with PHC Corporation of North America's rebate.
